I experienced utter delight as I took my morning stroll though the town this morning.
The Marks and Spencer clock which hangs from their building in Montague Street is at last working.
The clock, which was given coverage in the Herald recently and was the subject of a petition to get it fixed, now has a new lease of life.
Whether the petition had any influence at all, we will probably never know, however, well done to Marks and Spencer for giving this grand old lady the attention it needed and improving the image and reputation of the store and the company itself as well as improving the image of Montague Street.
