Messy mimicry

THIS is just a quick letter of thanks to all those persons who have made the effort to leave their dog’s muck on the pavement.

The temptation to clean it up must be immense.

Thankfully, an increasing number of people abstain from clearing up after their dogs, which means passers-by face the ever present “chance” of treading in it.

Those unlucky enough not to tread in it have to make do with the simple pleasure of seeing the many varieties of excrement strewn liberally about the pavement.

Wallace Avenue in Goring seems to be a particular favourite of dog walkers wishing to exhibit their pet’s waste products.

Many walks down to the sea with my toddler have been livened up by these colourful and fragrant shows.
