WHAT a fabulous idea it is to move Worthing College to the former Norwich Union offices. This will serve two purposes – one, it will make an excellent place of learning in a very pleasant parkland setting and, secondly, it stops the land falling into the hands of property speculators.
The Herald article (April 21) refers to access for walking students across the A27, but surely this could be solved by a pedestrian underpass?
The only slight downside I can see would be the increase in traffic around the Grove Lodge roundabout and perhaps the college, and Worthing Council can put pressure on the Highways Agency to abandon the lights, which will improve traffic flows.
I think we should all get behind Peter Corrigan and his team in supporting this scheme.
