Planning problem?

IN recent months, I have had disappointing experiences over the proposed minor pruning, at the request of neighbours, to an insignificant fruit tree which constituted a nuisance to them.

I have encountered a lack of a due sense of proportion, excessive formalities, bureaucratic demands embodied in 58 pages of paperwork, and the overlooking or ignoring of significant statements in the correspondence.

My complaint to Worthing Borough Council has been responded to by a “whitewash” letter, which again overlooks or ignores significant facts.

I would be interested to hear whether other readers of the Herald are unhappy with the work of the planning department in Worthing.
