Police propaganda

THE Herald printed the usual propaganda from the police, in the usual attempt to brainwash and scare the public about drink driving.

What was interesting, though, was the usual statistics printed, and that 2,642 perfectly innocent people were stopped and humiliated by the police, accused of drink driving and made to take a breath test.

Is this a democracy? Is everyone guilty until proven innocent?

Apparently so.

Think of the hours all those tests took, whilst at the same time in the same paper there are many unsolved crimes – man hurt in gang attack, newsagent knifeman hunted, spitter hunt, thieves ruin family’s Christmas.

Where were the police for these crimes?
