‘Ridiculous’ problem

I AM writing regarding your article on the parking in Ham Road (Herald, September 20).

I live at the seafront end of Ham Road, and I think what the council has done to surrounding roads is ridiculous, as nine times out of 10 we have to park in the surrounding roads because so many people who don’t live in Ham Road park and go off to work in Worthing.

It has now got to the point we have to sit in our car or drive around until its safe to park in nearby roads. We also have some new flats that are being built which is going to add to the parking problems. I feel the council should be offering non-resident permits to us. It is already becoming an issue with residents in Ham Road, because when they go out they are leaving bins in the roads to save the car space.
