I recently heard that the cafe at Worthing Hospital run by the League Of Friends was under threat of closure.
This is absolutely mad as it is a wonderful facility and I often use it as a break from sitting with my husband and it is such a lovely and welcoming place and I cannot believe that they are going to do away with it.
There were pieces of paper scattered around the hospital that people could sign to show their support for the cafe but these seem to have disappeared, so are people being stopped from doing anything about this now?
People visiting their families deserve a place to go and the staff in there are really great.
It is also very inexpensive, where else can you get a big mug of hot chocolate for 55 pence?
