Simple minded

In response to the somewhat simple-minded letter of Reuben Whiting, might I humbly suggest that any court deciding the custody of a child or children of a same sex partnership would take the common sense view and award said custody to the party in the child’s best interest.

This would be the same as if it were a heterosexual marriage (or indeed, dare I say, a non-married partnership, shock horror!).

Reading the rather unsubtle subtext to his letter, Mr Whiting would seem to assume that marriage or partnership is the exclusive right of heterosexuals.

Well, thankfully, we have moved on as a society and accept people for what they, without prejudice.

I sincerely hope that Mr Whiting is capable of doing the same.
