Think of habitat!

YET another letter moaning about the state of the grass verges – what a short-sighted view to take.

Think of the habitat it creates for wildlife, birds, insects and small mammals and, of course, our native flora, the ox eye daisies were a picture this year together with the many grass species all flourishing.

West Sussex County Council should be congratulated in saving us money on grass cutting, and as a result, benefiting wildlife.

I wonder whether other Worthing residents agree with my comments or are they all locked into the view that all grass has to be cut every week? Just ask yourselves why.
