Youth Football Club presentation ceremony

BEXHILL Athletic Youth Football Club held their annual presentation award ceremony at St Richard's Catholic college at the weekend.

Speaking after the presentations, under seven's coach & manager Eddie Ralph said the event, which was attended by over three hundred people, is organised to, "give something back to the children for all their hard work during the year."

He added: "Awards were given to children covering age groups from as young as five right up to eleven year olds. You could see the excitement on the children's faces as their names were called out to receive their trophy's."

Three main awards were presented to children in each age group; under seven's, under eight's, under nines, under tens and under elevens. The main categories for the awards presented to each group were; Managers Choice, Players Player and Most Improved.

In addition, Eddie said a basic trophy was presented to all the other children to say "thank you" for their hard work.

During the presentations, Chairman of the club, Martin Walker said the event was also a good opportunity to thank several people for their support and hard work.

He said: "I'd like to thank all the club's local sponsors, St Richards for the use of their facilities and St Mary Magdalene Roman Catholic school for the use of their pitch during match days."

Club secretary Richard Hubble thanked parents, volunteers and the children for "another fantastic season."
