Anger is building among House of Fraser customers as the department store continues to provide no clear information on the validity of gift cards or details on orders and refunds placed with the store.

Despite gift cards, orders and refunds being worth hundreds, the recent Sports Direct takeover has left shoppers in the dark.

Customers have said orders and refunds have not been fulfilled, gift cards also continue to be refused in store.

Anyone in possession of a House of Fraser gift card was asked to send their card and details to head office for a replacement, however, replacements have still not been sent.

The House of Fraser website is also currently down.

Customers have taken to social media to express their anger at not being refunded or provided with their orders months after being placed.

In August the troubled department store secured a £90 million deal with Sports Direct boss Mike Ashley but at the time of the takeover the high street store admitted it was no longer accepting gift cards, egift cards and e-vouchers in-store or online.

Despite this they continued to sell the gift cards online for a short period after.

House of Fraser has been contacted for comment.
