Brown bags the winner again

EAST PRESTON FC midfielder Paul Brown struck his second winner in as many games, this time against his former club Worthing United at the Lashmar on Tuesday night.

On 70 minutes, Brown ghosted into the box to meet Tom Lawley's excellent left-wing cross and headed across United's stranded keeper Sam Figg into the bottom corner of the net to give EP a 2-1 win.

Brown also netted the deciding goal in EP's 2-1 FA Cup win at Peacehaven on Saturday.

Defeat was harsh on United, who created a string of good opportunities in the first half, and can feel aggravated not to have taken at least a point from the game.

Dan White gave EP a 15th-minute lead but Gavin Geddes equalised on 49 minutes.

Also on Tuesday, Littlehampton won 1-0 at Southwick in Division 2 with Gary Harrison netting the only goal on 78 minutes.
