COOKE'S 99 HELPS WIN THRILLING CUP TIE

SOUTH AFRICAN wicketkeeper-batsman Chris Cooke was again one of Littlehampton's star men after his 99 on Sunday helped his side reach Hastings' target of 306 in the Sussex League Cup second round. This came after the disapointment of Saturday, when leaders Chichester had beaten Littlehampton by 132 runs.

Captain Stuart Stoneham said: "It was an excellent Sunday after a not so good Saturday. In the cup, with the fielding and bowling restrictions, you have to bowl well and in the next game we have to tighten up on the extras we gave away."
