Kaye struck 12 fours and one six in his 123-ball innings and Duncan hit five fours from 91 deliveries.

A 43-run unbeaten seventh-wicket stand between Ollie Rogers and Andy Reid then got Worthing past the 200-mark.

A rain delay led to Billingshurst losing seven overs of their reply but three wickets from Chris Mansell and Duncan and two from Andy Lutwyche helped Worthing to victory, to the delight of captain Dominic Clapp.

He said: "It was a very good win '“ a bit of a nail-biter in the last over and we didn't walk off the pitch until 8.30pm.

Findon's three-game unbeaten run in Division 3 West came to an end with a 43-run loss at home to Pagham.

Findon skipper Barry Meaney was pleased his side dismissed Pagham for 175 '“ which he thought was a par score, but Findon were then dismissed for 132 and he said: "I was really disappointed with the outcome after we'd had a good month putting results together.

"I was pleased with half of the game as we bowled and fielded well but we then lost early wickets and they turned the screw.

Findon head to Bognor on Saturday, and will be without Mickey Demetriou, who is about to head over to the Glenn Hoddle Football Academy.

Meaney said: "Mickey will be a big loss for his batting, bowling and fielding.

"But we're all very pleased for him as he's down to earth and grounded, and we wish him all the best. It's a fantastic opportunity for him and we know he'll go out and give it his all."
