Arundel set to host top-class cricket action

ARUNDEL CASTLE is looking forward to hosting this year’s Sussex Cricket Festival, when Surrey and Durham will be in town.

The festival gets underway on Sunday when Sussex host Surrey in the T20 South Group, with a 2.30pm start.

Sussex will have Sri Lankan legend Mahela Jayawardena in their line-up and are captained Luke Wright.

Surrey are likely to field Kumar Sangakkara and Moises Henriques as their overseas players for the game.

Sussex then entertain Durham from Monday to Thursday in County Championship Division 1, with a 11am start each day.

Arundel Castle chief executive James Rufey said: “As always, we very much look forward to the Sussex Cricket Festival here at Arundel Castle.

“The prospect of wonderful crowds and high-class cricket at one of the world’s most idyllic and quintessentially English grounds will be something to savour.

Spectators are guaranteed world-class performers in both the Twenty20 against Surrey and in the four-day Championship match against Durham.”
