BRADLEY BRIDSON is looking forward to leading Findon Cricket Club in the upcoming Sussex League Division 2 season.
Bridson, who has been vice-captain for the last two campaigns, has replaced James Iago as the club’s skipper.
The 24-year-old has been at Findon since he was ten and admitted it will be a great feeling to lead the first team this season.
He said: “I have been at the club 14 years now, so to be appointed captain is fantastic.
“It’s a really special club and a couple of players I played colts cricket with will be alongside me next season.
“I was really pleased to be given the role and it is something that I am looking forward to.
“Everyone wants the season to get underway now.”
The new captain is targeting a higher finish than the seventh spot they achieved in Division 2 last year.
He said: “Last season was a little disappointing. In an ideal world, we will finish in the top half of the table and have a good cup run.
“We have entered the Twenty20 Cup, while the National Village Cup is one in which we have enjoyed success in the past.”
