Cricketers, are you up to our One Stump Challenge?

THE cricket season is now well underway and with bowlers already hitting their lines we here at the Herald/Gazette want to know if you are up to our One Stump Challenge?

We will again this season be out and about with the video camera and visiting local clubs which think they are up to the task.

The challenge? One stump at the end of the wicket, one ball in hand at the other end and you just need to hit it. It sounds simple, but you’ll be surprised how tough it really is.

Obviously, the challenge takes place on a standard wicket – so normal bowling length using your preferred action – the odds are in your favour, right?

Any club that successfully hits the stump will win one of our One Stump Challenge t-shirts made and sponsored by Pinnacle Sport & Leisure – who are based in South Farm Road, Worthing – howzat for an incentive?

We will start off by visiting Goring Cricket Club at their net session on Tuesday night and to see a video of how they get on, keep an eye on www.worthingherald.co.uk/sport

So if you think you can stump-up the goods and fancy a go at local bragging rights, let us know and we’ll get down to one of your club’s net sessions with the camera.

Anyone interested in having a go can either call us on 01903 282389 or email [email protected]
