Findon hoping for large Village Cup crowd

FINDON Cricket Club league captain Barry Meaney is hoping for a large crowd when his side take on Mistley in the National Village Cup last 32 on Sunday.

The game starts at 1pm at Long Furlong and Meaney said: “It’s a huge game. We’re at home, we have good tradition in the competition and I’m hoping there will be a big crowd there as it boosts the players, who always look forward to these games.

“This round tends to be one of the most difficult. If we can get through this, then you can begin to dream about Lord’s a little bit as this competition is a big thing for the club and for the local community.”
