Free entry offer for Sussex game

SUSSEX County Cricket are offering free entry to all supporters for their Yorkshire Bank 40 clash with Worcestershire Royals on Sunday, May 5, to celebrate their new affiliation with LED Sport Europe.

Sussex have just signed a five-year partnership with LED Sport Europe, which will see a new LED big screen replace the existing scoreboard at The County Ground, Hove.

New perimeter LED boards will also be installed, meaning the main scoreboard will be converted to an electronic version shortly before the beginning of the new campaign.

The entry guarantees a big attendance for the Sharks as they aim to go one better than than last year when they qualified for the semi-finals.

Zac Toumazi, chief executive of Sussex, said: We’re delighted to be able to form this partnership with LED Sport Europe, which we hope will bring many benefits to both parties. Thanks to their generous support we are able to offer the Worcestershire clash as a ‘free match’.

“Hopefully the waiving of the admission fee will encourage not only new visitors to Hove but also those who have not been to the ground in a while, particularly with the fantastic new redevelopment which has been undertaken.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for first time visitors and the local community to experience all that the ground has to offer, engage with the Sussex family and get behind the Sharks.”
