The squad fly out to the UAE and will play initially in the Emirates Airlines Twenty20 2013 Tournament, attempting to defend the title they won last season, alongside Lancashire, the Fly Emirates XI and an MCC side including Rahul Dravid and Shaun Tait.

The tour’s primary objective though will be preparing the squad for four-day cricket with a programme of practise sessions planned, culminating in a two-day game against Lancashire. There will also be two 40-over matches, again against Lancashire, and also the MCC Young Cricketers.
