Chipps won the toss and chose to bowl on a grassy looking wicket. An excellent opening partnership of 108 from Tom Lund (50 not out from 46 balls) and Nick Oxley (52 not out from 46 balls) set Worthing on their way to a competitive total.

After both openers retired, Chipps finished strongly with some tight bowling to restict Worthing to 135-2 from their 20 overs.

The Chipps reply started slowly with superb bowling from Jamie Piper and Robson Piper reducing Chipps to 31-3.

Some big hitting from Aaron Tugnutt (42 from 26 balls) and sensible batting from Josh Bourne (37 from 38 balls) put Chipps on track but when both fell in quick succession, the innings petered out and Chipps were eventually dismissed for 120 off the penultimate ball.

Worthing won by 15 runs and captain Stuart Carter lifted the cup.
