The 16-year-old will represent England at the British Internationals in Wales in April, where his team mates will include current world champions Scott Mitchell and Lisa Ashton.

Levett, nicknamed Knuckles, will also represent England at the European Youth Cup in Denmark in July and he said: “I’m extremely lucky to be selected for the England squad again.

“I’ve had a good year in various competitions and reached the England under-18 number one-ranked spot, so I’m pleased my efforts paid off but I still see room for improvement in my game.”

The teenager plays darts pretty much every day. He turns out for the Joyful Whippet on Mondays, AMC on Tuesdays, in the Lancing Super League on Wednesdays, in the Seaford League on Thursdays and has also recently joined Broadbridge Heath in the Horsham League.

He also plays county youth and senior matches at weekends and this week is in action in the Yorkshire Open.

Levett, who attends Worthing College, is also the Sussex under-18 youth captain and has gained valuable experience over the last six years playing for the county and has six wins in eight games for the senior squad, after making his debut last year.

Levett recently won the first Winmau Youth Grand Prix Tour event of the season, which has resulted in him being the first qualifier for the finals in December. The tour goes around the country and AMC Leisure will host an event on August 15. Levett suggested AMC as a venue as he is sponsored by AMC owner, Andrew Connor, and the tournament is open to all under 18s.

Levett has also competed on the international stage and reached the semi-finals of the Youth World Championships last year, where he lost to eventual winner, Colin Roelufs from Holland. Levett won £1,000 prize money for reaching the last four, which is his biggest win to date.
