DaSH lands south east's top award
Denton & South Heighton Junior Football Club have been named South East Regional Charter Standard Club by the Football Association, beating all the other teams in Sussex, Kent, Surrey, Hampshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.
It adds to their many achievements this year including winning the Haven Life Community Group of the Year and individual team achievements and trophies.
Club secretary Lisa Burton-Durham said: 'This is a fantastic result for DaSH - it goes a long way to recognising the hard work and dedication of the 'behind the scenes' members of the club such as the committee, sponsors and helpers.'
The club will be recognised at an FA awards ceremony in September and will receive a plaque, pennant and bag of ten footballs.
