Dawson prepairs for new season at Raiders

NEW Worthing Raiders Rugby Club head coach Kieron Dawson is pleased with how things are going since taking up the role four weeks ago.

Dawson took over from Will Green, who left Raiders at the end of last season, and said: “We’re three weeks’ into pre-season now and we’re just getting the lads fit.

“It’s been good so far. The majority of last year’s squad will be staying and we’re in talks with a few other players, although there’s nothing concrete at the moment.”

Finlay Coxon-Smith, who played for Worthing last season, has left the club as he has moved away from the area.

Raiders entertain Barking in a pre-season friendly on August 13, before their National 2 South league campaign begins on August 27 at Clifton.
