Dawson’s the new Raiders head coach

FORMER Ireland international Kieron Dawson has taken over as the new head coach of Worthing Raiders Rugby Club.

The 36-year-old was assistant to Will Green, who left Raiders at the end of last season, for the past two seasons and said: “I’m looking forward to it, although with a bit of trepidation following on from Will, who has difficult shoes to fill.

“I’m going to be the figurehead of the coaching set up but it’s a very important team – Dave Roberts, David Hinchliffe and Nick Buoy. It will be a joint effort and we’ll all work together.”
