Emirates tour enthrals

COTTESMORE School's 1st XI have been on the tour of a lifetime '“ in the United Arab Emirates.

The first match was played against the Sharjah Cricket Academy at the Delhi Private School.

This was an entertaining game, complete with a cockerel helping to field on the boundary. Day Three was spent training on the beach before travelling to the international stadium in Sharjah, which boasts the record for staging the most one-day international cricket matches.

The match was won in a decisive form, cheered on by the Colts section of the Barmy Army, which had travelled out with the team. After another day of training, the team from the Pease Pottage school made the long journey to Abu Dhabi, where the third game was played in the new international stadium.
