FOOTBALL: Albion star Andrew Whing's weekly column (January 29)

IT was a very good result and much-needed performance at Leicester on Tuesday.

We were full of determination, endeavour and enthusiasm and defended well.

Sully made one great reaction save, but I don't really think he had another save to make.

With Michel back in training, it puts the pressure on Sully to stake his claim to stay in the team, especially as Michel is a very good 'keeper.

But, if Sully keeps playing how he is, he deserves to be No 1 choice.

Jason Jarrett made his debut at Leicester and, from playing against him a few times, I know he is a very good player. He's a good footballer, who gets up-and-down the field.

Hopefully, we'll also have a couple more signings in for this weekend.

I can't believe that even Hinsh has now scored before me, after he got the last-minute equaliser at Cheltenham.

If anyone was going to score I'm glad it was him, and the celebrations which followed were great.

Hinsh was quite calm but all the lads jumped on him and pushed him into the crowd.

I keep saying I'm the next in line to score but I'm sure that Sully or Michel will go up for a corner when we're losing a game and score before I do.

But, if we beat Luton in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy, hopefully I'll get off the mark at Wembley.

I'm going to miss Saturday's game with Hartlepool after picking up five bookings.

It's disappointing as I feel I've been playing well in the last six-or-seven weeks, and I want to carry it on.

But, by this stage last year, I had about 10 bookings so have improved this season.
