FOOTBALL: Leisure Leagues round-up (March 19)

JUST three points separate the top four teams in the Sunday League as the season reaches its closing stages.

Deportivo Lackoftalent ended Ronaldhino Wreckheads title hopes with a 2-0 Michael Bailey-inspired victory, while Cheeky Half sneaked home by the odd goal in three against strugglers The Best.

Boundstone Old Boys kept themselves in the hunt with a fine 5-2 victory against Doms VI, while at the other end of the table, Herbal Remedy moved away from the bottom as Joey Nixon proved the difference in a 2-1 win over FC Rangers.

In Division 1, Gary Edwards led already promoted Durrington United to a single goal triumph over Cow, while Andy Belding's fine showing helped DnC to a 5-0 success against FMT.

FMT's loss, coupled with Athletico Goring's 2-1 win over Tarmac Terriers, was enough to see Athletico promoted with three games to spare, while No Prawn Sandwiches can still escape relegaion after beating Goring 3-0.

In Division 3, champions Mighty Ducks destroyed Preston Blades Seniors 6-0, while Homewreckers beat Pimp My Side 2-1.

At the other end of the table, Black Dragons lost 5-0 to Sweet & Sour, and FC Dellboys' Tom Darling helped his side to a win over Jiminez United.

In the Thursday League, newboys, Chelsea, saw off Jiminez United, 4-2, while all the other games were drawn.

High-flying duo Worthing & Heene Albion and AEK Fenhurst drew 2-2 - and the games between MJ Dons and Olde House Wanderers, Athletico Goring and CS, and The Rookies against Bennett Griffin, all ended with the same scoreline.

The draws were completed by TSTB and leaders LC Elite, who drew 1-1.

In the Friday League, Dan Bashford starred as Irish Lepricorns stayed top with a 5-2 thumping of Herbal Remedy

FC Rangers maintained their challenge after they saw off Heskey's Henchmen, 2-0, in a game where James Mez starred.

T2 Sugars remain third after Toby Cole helped them win by the only goal against FC Delunited.

Crawley Town picked up their first points of the season as Brand White inspired them to a 4-2 win over fellow strugglers WC Blues.
