FOOTBALL: Rebels get fourth successive league win

WORTHING Football Club won for the fourth successive league match on Saturday (March 6) when they defeated Eastbourne Town 2-0.

The win keeps Rebels third in Ryman League Division 1 South after the top two, Folkestone and Croydon Athletic, also both won.

Skipper Paul Kennett gave Worthing the lead after just 57 seconds from Ben Johnson's cross before Evan Archibald tapped home the second on 40 minutes after Chamal Fenelon's fierce drive was parried by Town keeper Russell Tanner.

Archibald has now scored in Rebels' last five matches.
