WORTHING FC were denied all three points on Saturday (October 29) when Eastbourne Town equalised three minutes into injury-time in Ryman League Division 1 South.

Town were reduced to 10 men after just 12 minutes when Jordan Lang was harshly sent-off for a foul on Steve Metcalf but levelled at 1-1 three minutes into stoppage time.

Former Rebel Scott Kirkwood’s low 25-yarder was parried by Dean Ruddy and another former Rebel, Sonny Cobbs, was on hand to fire home into the roof of the net.

Worthing had taken a 25th-minute lead when Tom Manton’s cross-shot was turned into his own net by Town defender Nytram Dixon-Baker.

Rebels wasted several openings after that to double their lead, while Town always looked dangerous going forward and more than deserved their point.
