WORTHING Football Club striker Billy Medlock is set for his home debut on Saturday as Rebels look to bounce back from a 4-0 defeat at Whitstable.
Worthing slipped a place to 10th in the Ryman League Division 1 South table with the defeat but have Medlock back available after he was suspended for the match.
Medlock struck a hat-trick on his Rebels debut three weeks ago, so comes back into the squad for the visit of Sittingbourne. Joint boss Lee Brace is hoping international clearance will come through for recent signings Freddie Barker and Niko Pinilla, while Kieron Pamment is also back available. Steve Metcalf serves the second match of his two-game suspension.
Brace said: “We’re hoping the international clearance will come through as I can tell you that I wouldn’t want to face a team with Billy and Freddie up top – along with the pace of Matt Daniel and Tom Lawley. That will be an incredible front line.
“Looking at the league table, we’re only six points off the play-offs, so it’s possible we could get in there.
“A top five finish would be absolutely amazing. We’re capable of doing it and just need to get a consistent run of results together.”
