Bournemouth looked at Hoskins load deal

Seagulls striker Will Hoskins was a loan target for Bournemouth – and the south coast club may return for his in January.

The Cherries’ director Tom Mitchell revealed that talks had taken place to take the hitman, who Brighton signed from Bristol Rovers this summer, to Dean Court before the loan transfer window shut.

Albion prospect Steve Cook has enjoyed a fruitful spell with the League One outfit and both clubs felt Hoskins could benefit from a run of games as he tries to get over an injury-hit start to the season.

Mitchell revealed, “Will Hoskins we were interested in. It wasn’t going to be a permanent (signing), but we didn’t feel that was right for us either in the end.”
