The 24-year-old midfielder joins Albion after two seasons with WSL rivals Everton, for whom she scored five goals and made more than 30 appearances after joining the club in 2018.

Inessa began her career in Holland with Ajax in 2013 and went on to win two Dutch titles before heading to England.

She won the first of her six Holland caps in January 2019, having played for her country at youth level, and was part of their squad for last year’s World Cup in France when Holland won the silver medal as runners-up to USA in the final.

Head coach Hope Powell said: “We’re really pleased to have signed Inessa, I think she is going to be a big asset to us.

“She has plenty of WSL experience and I first noticed her at Everton a couple of years ago. She will bring energy to the midfield and she is capable of scoring her fair share of goals too, which is an area we are looking to improve as a team.”

Inessa is Albion’s fourth signing ahead of the new women’s season following Nora Heroum, Katie Robinson and Katie Startup.
