He has not started a match for Hoffenhiem since November 30. The Dutchman joined Brighton from PSV Eindhoven in January 2018 for £15m and signed a four-and-a-half-year contract.

The Dutchman scored four times in 12 appearances in all competitions for the German top-flight side during his time at the club and the 26-year-old is now heading back to the south coast.
