End of season report card

Here's the club's end of season report card...

Close to a sell-out every week, Seagulls fans smashed it this season. Excellent work indeed.
Almost 80m spent, and really not that much to show for it. A lot of flops in there, but Bernardo was a nice bit of business at under 10m.
They held on, but only just! Brighton rode their luck throughout the campaign, but in the end they showed enough grit and determination to beat the drop. Relief all round.
While the 2nd round exit in the Carabao Cup wasn't pretty, a stellar showing the FA Cup saw the Seagulls make it all the way to the semi-final.
Chris Hughton's dismissal is tricky one, as he did manage to keep the Seagulls afloat again this season. However, they didn't make the progress fans had hoped for.
An absolute warrior on the the field, the Republic of Ireland international is a man in his prime. Another excellent season from the towering defender.
He's been solid in midfield, but those six yellow cards and one red sees the 29-year-old land himself in detention!
Brought in from La Liga with a solid reputation, the Romania international failed to live up to his billing. He'll really need to up his game for next season.
Spending 15m on a 22-year-old is gamble, but the Malian international showed some real promise in the 2018/19 campaign, and should continue to improve next season.
