Glenn Murray: Crystal Palace loss is behind us and we must focus on Wolves

Brighton are just one point above the releagation zone following their painful 1-0 loss to old rivals Crystal Palace at the Amex Stadium last week.

Albion however need to recover quickly and produce an inspired display if they are pick up points at Molineux Stadium this Saturday.

Nuno Espírito Santo's team have been excellent this season and are sixth in Premier League table.

Last Saturday they enjoyed a fine 3-2 win over Spurs which keeps them in contention for a Champions League spot with 10 matches remaining.

Brighton played well against Wolves last December during the 2-2 draw at the Amex and Murray is convinced Albion will recover from the Palace result in time for Saturday.

“We’ve been here before haven’t we?" said the veteran striker. "Every season since we came into the Premier League we’ve been fighting for survival so it’s nothing new to us.

“We don’t think we are better than our current position. We’ve got to deal with this situation, lift ourselves and make sure we compete in every game between now and the end of the season, starting against Wolves on Saturday.”

Albion’s run-in also includes games against Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal and Leicester.

Murray added: “If the Premier League was that simple that could predict the scores every week, who would be interested?

"No-one had us winning at Arsenal and playing the way we did, so you just never know with this league where the points are going to come from and that’s why we love it.

“It doesn’t matter who you play, any game in the Premier League is difficult so you’ve got to lift yourself and compete each time and it will be no different at Wolves.

"We managed to get a point there last year, and we’ll hope to do that or better this time as well.”
