Tariq Lamptey was replaced after 45 minutes during the 4-2 loss at Everton just prior to the international break.

The England under-21 international was struggling with a tight hamstring but will hope to recover in time for the 2pm kick-off at Selhurst Park.

Dutch international midfielder Davy Propper has not featured in the Premier League so far this campaign due to an Achilles problem.

Propper has featured in the Carabao Cup but suffered a setback in his recovery following the 2-0 victory at Preston.

"They are all making good progress," said Potter. "Tariq trained today so we will see how he responds to that.

"Davy, we just wanted to take it easy with him and make sure he has got the training and he has recovered from his issues.

"So he has trained this week as well and we will see what the reaction is towards the back of the week before we make a decision over the weekend.”

Long term knee injury victim Jose Izquierdo is also making encouraging progress. The Colombian winger is back training with the first team and last week scored the winning goal for the under-23s at West Ham.

Brighton will continue to take it slowly with the 28-year-old and will hope give him another run out with the under-23s, likely this Saturday against Liverpool's under-23s.

“Jose has been training with the group and he benefited from some game time with the under-23s," said Potter. "So we might see if we can do the same this weekend, but he has benefited from being with the group."

Aaron Connolly took a heavy knock while playing for Republic of Ireland yesterday. The striker is back with Brighton and they are checking his wrist and a jarred neck ahead of Palace.

The match could however arrive too soon for Alireza Jahanbakhsh, who suffered a hamstring injury in the League Cup loss to Manchester United.
