Brighton, who have not won in nine league matches and are just two points ahead of 18th-placed Fulham, will once again be without the considerable talents of Tariq Lamptey.

The 20-year-old flying wing continues his rehabilitation from a hamstring injury that has ruled him out since the second half of the 0-0 draw at Fulham on December 16.

Lamptey, who is said to be on the verge of agree a new contract at Albion, is pencilled in to return in February.

Aaron Connolly is also out with hamstring trouble and the Irish striker has not featured in the first team since his goal scoring display in the 3-3 draw against Wolves.

The match will also arrive to soon for striker Danny Welbeck who is out with a knee problem, while playmaker Adam Lallana is once again ruled-out with an illness.

Alireza Jahanbakhsh is the latest on the list of Albion's walking wounded. The Iranian suffered a 'minor injury' during the the FA Cup penalty shootout triumph at Newport last Sunday.

Albion head coach Graham Potter also confirmed 6ft 3in Polish international midfielder Jakub Moder, who only trained with Albion for the first time on Monday, is unavailable for this one as he continues to get up to speed following his January loan recall from Lech Poznan.

However, Mali international midfielder Yves Bissouma will be available for selection after serving his one-match ban at Man City on Wednesday.

Ben White is expected to feature against his former loan club Leeds. White spent a successful season on loan in the Championship last campaign but Graham Potter insists there will no divided loyalties.

White has since established himself as a key player for the Seagulls, featuring in 17 of their 18 top-flight fixtures ahead of Saturday’s much-anticipated reunion with Bielsa’s men.

“He can be proud of his time there. He helped them and they helped him. It was a perfect loan,” said Potter.

“He speaks highly of everything at Leeds United and is very respectful of how they helped him and progressed his career because it was a fantastic time for him.

“But he is our player now and I am sure he will want to try to get the points against them.”

Leeds will be without suspended midfielder Kalvin Phillips. Phillips received his fifth booking of the season in the recent defeat at Tottenham and sits out a one-game ban.

Forward Tyler Roberts has recovered from illness and is back in contention, while defenders Liam Cooper and Diego Llorente are also available.

Bielsa has no new injury worries after last weekend’s FA Cup defeat at Crawley. Midfielder Adam Forshaw (hip) and defender Gaetano Berardi (knee) are long-term absentees.
