Issa Diop slides home West Ham's opener against Brighton

In an even first half, West Ham took the lead after Michail Antonio drew a foul from Brighton right back Martin Montoya.

Robert Snodgrass delivered the perfect ball into the box and Issa Diop slid in and turned the ball in past Albion goalkeeper Maty Ryan from close range.

Brighton had previously missed two decent chances through Aaron Mooy and Leandro Trossard.

Snodgrass then added a goal to his assist as his deflected effort just before the break made it 2-0 to the Hammers.

Brighton need a huge response.
