The Seagulls went down 3-0 at Nottingham Forest yesterday, after a 2-1 loss at home to Newcastle on Tuesday. They remain second in the Championship, six points ahead of Huddersfield, who have a game in hand, but are now five points behind leaders Newcastle.

Bruno said: "It's tough and sometimes it's difficult when you have two defeats, it's not an easy job but we have already shown character and we will do it again.

"We came here to get the three points and we were confident to have a good performance but we didn't. We leave really disappointed. We should have been better with the ball and we couldn't show our quality up top.

"A lot of balls inside the box we didn't score, that's football. We want to come back as soon as possible and as strong as possible."

Talking about Forest's controversial opener, when Albion players were claiming offside as Britt Assombalonga turned home Zach Clough's shot, Bruno said: "From where I was, it was difficult because I couldn't see but Dunky was there and Liam as well and they said the striker touched the ball and it was clear offside.

"But we can't just talk about the goal because we had a lot of chances."

Albion now head to rock bottom Rotherham on Tuesday and Bruno said: "We've had a few bad experiences there and it's always a tough place to go. It's not an easy team to beat and it's going to be a really tough game."
