As well as Foxon’s treble, Charlie Lowdell struck twice, while both Sam Leggatt and Ryan Stevens netted as Dan Lawrence’s side made it 12 goals in just two league matches.

Lawrence is hopeful his team can keep up their good form and said: “We’ve got players coming back and we want to push for the top six. We were dominant but Ferring worked hard and made it difficult for us.”

Foxon fired Clymping ahead on 24 minutes but Adam Calway levelled nine minutes later. Foxon struck once again to put Clymping back in front a minute later.

Lowdell got his first 25 minutes from time, then Leggatt struck and Lowdell made it 5-1 with eight minutes left.

There was still time for Stevens to add number six, before Foxon completed his hat-trick a minute into stoppage-time.

CLYMPING: Brook-Marsh; Hodder, Potts, Moore, Bird; Foxon, Varza, Stevens, Adfield; Lowdell, Leggatt. Subs: Jordan (Moore), Fuller (Bird), Walden, Brett.
