County League round-up(August 12)

REIGNING Macron Store County League champions East Preston made it back-to-back wins with a 2-0 success over Lancing at The Lashmar last night.

East Preston secured the victory with a first-half strike from Liam Baitup and a second-half penalty from captain Joe Shelley.

Littlehampton were forced to settle for a point after a 2-2 draw at newly-promoted Loxwood.

Ross McKay gave Golds the lead early in the second half, but Loxwood hit back to level and then take the lead, before Liam Humphreys equalised with 15 minutes to play.

Arundel picked up a point with a 1-1 draw at Pagham. Jordan Clark gave Mullets the lead on 30 minutes, but they conceded a late equaliser as the points were shared.

Shoreham suffered their second defeat in as many games with a 3-0 reverse to Hassocks.

A brace from Phil Johnson and a goal from Phil Gault meant Shoreham lost by the same margin as they did to Arundel on Saturday.
