Dorking are hit for six as Lancing run rampant

Lancing Football Club ended a three-game losing run with a comprehensive victory at home to Dorking Wanderers on Saturday.

Lancers flew out of the traps and were 2-0 ahead inside five minutes through two Wayne Joseph goals.

The opener arrived after just 84 seconds when Adam Hunt cut the ball back for Joseph on the edge of the area, and he fired home a right-footed effort into the top corner.

Joseph got his second almost immediately when he rifled home on five minutes.

Three minutes before the interval, Shaheen Sadough scored his seventh goal of the season from close range.

In the second half, Lancers picked up where they left off and Sadough doubled his tally and made it 4-0 when he flicked home a header from seven yards.

The home side scored again five minutes later through Graham Martin. Sam O’Regan headed home the sixth, before Jerome Beckles pulled a goal back for Dorking with 23 minutes left.
