Albion have to keep Knockaert. Despite speculation linking the skillful winger with Newcastle, he linked well with Murray and is always a threat. Set up a couple of chances and could have got a goal as well.

Baldock or Hemed? It will probably be one or the other playing up front with Murray this season. Hemed played 60 minutes of today’s friendly, which suggests he will start up front with Murray in the opening game next Saturday.

The class of Bruno. Despite playing out of position in central defence, he was as classy as ever and will be a more than able deputy if he needs to play in central defence at Derby.

Kayal is key. The driving force behind most Albion attacks and wins the ball back so easily. Brighton need another season like last year from their player-of-the-season.

Signings still a priority. Another striker is vital and also a central defender. If Albion can keep the rest of the squad together, they will again be a force this season.
