WORTHING Football Club say good progress is being made as they prepare to announce a “new era” at the club.

The club announced last month that an agreement has been reached for the club to move forward, with a fresh start and hope for everything to be finalised soon.

Rebels company secretary Alistair McKail said: “I can report that we are still making good progress and have signed a heads of terms document between the club, investor and landlord to facilitate the infrastructure investment required.

“We are still in the statutory shareholder consultancy period as far as changing the club’s articles is concerned, but we’ve had a very good response so far.

“I’d like to encourage as many of those shareholders or their beneficiaries, who’ve yet to reply to do so, in order that the club can take advantage of this opportunity.”

Any shareholders who have not replied are asked to contact the club by email contact@worthingfc.com
