Handful of matches beat the elements

THE weather has again put paid to the majority of today’s local football schedule – although a handful of matches remain on.

Worthing’s home clash against Leatherhead in the Ryman League South Division at Woodside Road is on, as is Lancing’s fixture against Pagham in County League Division 1 at Culver Road.

In Division 2, Storrington’s match at Bexhill and Steyning’s game at Seaford are both on following pitch inspections.

All the fixtures in Division 3 - including Southwick v Ferring - have been postponed.

East Preston’s FA Vase match with Brantham Athletic was postponed yesterday and has been rescheduled for next Saturday.
