Jarvis takes over as Blues manager

RUSTINGTON Football Club have appointed Rick Jarvis as their new manager.

Jarvis was reserve team boss at Blues last season and he was stepped up to manage the side after Jon Tucker quit the club at the end of last season to take over at local rivals Wick.

Rustington chairman Frank Sumner said: “We spoke to three other people as well but Rick knows lots of local players.

“Wherever he has managed, it’s always been local, so he knows a lot of local people as he’s been doing it a long time.

“We thought that if we’re going to run a reserve and youth team as well, that it would be best if everyone was local.”

Before managing Blues’ reserve team, Jarvis had previously managed Wick’s reserve side and West Sussex League side Yapton.

Jed Duckworth will be Rustington’s new reserve team boss for next season.
