Lancers will face Chichester or Little Common in the semi-finals of the Sussex RUR Cup after a brace from Richard Greenfield and a Terrell Lewis own goal took them to a 3-2 victory at Pagham.

The visitors were also indebted to an outstanding late save from their goalkeeper Callum Fidler in what Bailey called a “match-winning stop”.

He said: “Ben Bowra and Tom Caplin changed the game when they came on, they gave us more control of the game and nullified the threat Pagham were posing in midfield.

“I thought we were poor and flat in the first half but the spirit and desire we showed was fantastic.

“If it was a league game a draw would probably have been fair but Callum’s made a brilliant save right at the end and that’s won us the game.

“We’re into the last four and have a great chance of silverware.”
