McLoughlin back for Lancing's Vase tie

LANCING Football Club will have midfielder Dan McLoughlin back from injury for Saturday's re-arranged FA Vase third-round tie at home to Witham Town on Saturday.

The match was postponed last Saturday owing to six inches of snow covering the Culver Road pitch and McLoughlin would have missed the game with an ankle injury.

Apart from midfielder Dan Turner, who is suspended, Lancers are at full strength for the match.

If the game is drawn, the replay will take place on December 18.

If Lancers get past Witham, they will travel to either Holbrook Sports or St Helens Town in the fourth round.

Derbyshire-based Holbrook are mid-table in the East Midlands Counties League Premier Division and Merseyside-based St Helens are mid-table in the Vodkat (North West Counties) League.

Lancing joint bosses Jason Rutherford and Martin Gander have been named the County League Division 2 managers of the month for November after Lancing won four of their five matches.

Lancers’ league match at Southwick on Tuesday evening was postponed owing to a frozen pitch.
