Murray scored his 19th goal of the season in the Seagulls' 1-0 win at home to Blackburn Rovers, while Huddersfield lost 1-0 in injury-time at home to Burton Albion.

Leaders Newcastle picked up a 2-1 victory at home to Wigan and remain a point clear of Albion at the top.

Reflecting on the win, Murray said: "It's another three points to get to where we need to be. We don't need to get carried away, we've just got to keep doing our job and we'll be concentrating on Tuesday night now.

"Every game's going to be tough now as everyone's playing for something, whether that be to stay up, get in the play-offs or what not.

"I just think we need to relax, enjoy the moment and not get too nervous or carried away. Hopefully we can keep up the performances and get where we need to be."

It was a nervy afternoon at the Amex, before and after Murray's goal, and the striker said: "For any team trying to get automatic promotion, it's going to get a bit nervy at times, like in the last five minutes.

"Blackburn are playing for something else at the other end of the table and they were pushing towards the end. Thankfully we got through it and got the three points."
